FAQs
A ceramic shampoo contains SiO₂, a key ingredient in ceramic coatings. It helps clean and enhance your coated car without stripping protection.
Yes — it's designed to protect and preserve coatings.
Absolutely, the dilution ratio changes slightly so check our dilution instructions on your machine but you still get 10 washes from every 500ml bottle.
Up to 10 washes when diluted 1:100 - this assumes 5 litres of finished solution per wash.

How to Use CERAMIC SHAMPOO
What you will need
- Bucket (or two buckets if using the two-bucket wash method)
- Wash Mitt and Brushes.
- Hermosa Wash Mitt or sponge to wash the car
- Detail brush to clean around trim and hard-to-get areas.
- Water blaster or a strong garden hose with spray nozzle.
- We recommend a good quality latex or similar waterproof glove.
Step 1
Wait for the car to cool down if it has been driven recently (wait at least 30 minutes if the wheels or hood are hot).
Once the vehicle is cool to the touch, put on your gloves and lets go!
Step 2
Give the car a good hose down or water blast, and try to remove as much dirt and road debris as possible.
Step 3
Bucket Wash
Mix the Hermosa Ceramic Car Shampoo into a bucket using a 1:100 ratio (50ml per 5 litres of water). Spray the water blaster or hose into the bucket to activate the bubbles and mix the Shampoo into the solution.
Foam Cannon
If you are using a foam cannon the dilution rates will change depending on the flow rate of the cannon. We would generally recommend around 50ml of Hermosa Ceramic Shampoo in a 500ml foam cannon reservoir but it will depend on the flow rate of your pressure washer and how thick you prefer the foam on the car. This ratio delivers 10 car washes per 500ml bottle of Hermosa Ceramic Shampoo, the same results as bucket washing at a 1:100 dilution ratio.
Step 4
Wash the car with the Hermosa Wash Mitt or wash sponge. Wash one area such as a panel or side of the car at a time, then wash with fresh water. Do not let the wash solution dry on the car.
Step 5
Wash the car with fresh water. The water beading from the paintwork shows the Hermosa Ceramic Shampoo's hydrophobic capabilities in action.
Dry your car using a microfibre drying cloth or similar.
